One of the largest cocaine seizures in Okanagan history is before the courts, almost six years later.

Darryl James Wilcox, 43, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

In October 2005, RCMP interrupted a meeting between two men in two vehicles on a West Kelowna street. They found 18 kg of cocaine, worth more than $500,000.

Wilcox is fighting the charge but his co-accused made a surprise guilty plea yesterday.

Nathaniel Lucas Nesbitt will be sentenced at a later date.

Part of the delay in Wilcox’s trial is due to his lawyers work on another case.
