A serious motorcycle crash north of Oliver shut down on Highway 97 for several hours this morning.
The bike was traveling north when it lost control on a sharp curve near Vaseux Lake at about 8:30 a.m.
The bike crossed the centre line and stopped at the concrete barrier beside the lake.
The 59-year-old rider was taken to hospital in serious condition.
The highway was reopened at noon. RCMP continue to investigate.
