The small town of Revelstoke, about 2.5 hours northeast of Vernon, is in shock after a double homicide involving three of its residents.

Jimmy Armilotta and another man from Revelstoke were found dead of gunshot wounds in a rural residence in Ardmore, Alberta on October 14th.

Police are not releasing the name of the other victim at request of his family.

Armilotta’s mother and sister say Jimmy was a generous man who lived to help others.

Brandon William Cruickshank, 18, has been charged with two counts of first degree murder.

Cruickshank was a recent graduate of Revelstoke Secondary School.

A memorial service for Armilatto is planned for 2 pm this Saturday at Mountain View Elementary School.

Anyone wishing to donate to the memorial fund can do so through the Revelstoke Credit Union.
