The FBI has issued a "wanted" poster for Colton Harris-Moore, the American teen accused of carrying out a catch-me-if-you-can crime spree stretching across several U.S. states and Western Canada.

Harris-Moore, 19, dubbed the "Barefoot Bandit" for allegedly committing some crimes while shoeless, was most recently suspected in the theft of an airplane in Bloomington, Ind., that later crashed in shallow waters off the coast of Abaco Island in the Bahamas, authorities say.

The FBI says the teen is the prime suspect in more than 70 investigations involving residential and commercial burglaries, and the thefts of vehicles, boats and airplanes. The crimes occurred mostly in the Pacific Northwest, including Washington State, Idaho, Oregon and southern British Columbia.

Harris-Moore, who stands 6-foot-5, has been charged with interstate transportation of a stolen aircraft in connection with the theft of a plane from Bonners Ferry, Idaho, that crash-landed near Snohomish, Wash., last September. A federal warrant was issued for his arrest on Dec. 11.

A local arrest warrant was issued for the teen in March 2009 after he escaped from a Renton, Wash., group home where he was ordered to stay after pleading guilty to three felonies.

Harris-Moore has achieved near cultlike status on the Internet. As of Wednesday, a Facebook fan page had more than 45,000 members. The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 leading to his arrest.
